The University of Chicago’s Polsky Center announced that Parasol MedTech was selected for a $250,000 investment through the George Shultz Innovation Fund, supporting continued development of its investigational left atrial appendage closure platform.

Parasol MedTech is developing an integrated catheter-and-gel platform designed to adapt to variable left atrial appendage anatomy. Parasol’s device is investigational and has not been cleared or approved by the FDA.
